Python Job: Python Engineer - remote

FFW has a freelance / contract Python Engineer opportunity, to work with its partner, a major US company from the pharma industry.
The ideal candidate has several years of experience in a similar role, is motivated, self-started, with a positive attitude.

This is a 100% remote (candidates can be based anywhere) working opportunity, full-time. It would be ideally if you could work on the EST time zone (with ability to overlap to GMT/CET - European time zone), but we would also accept a candidate that could work on GMT/CET (with availability to overlap to the EST time zone).
Responsibilities: What awaits you:

building services that are presenting data over a GraphQL API to a Vue.js website frontend that present information or metrics that other stakeholders need to deliver their services;

• design, build, and operate a Python based application with multiple integration to Salesforce, Github and Jira;
• building new features, fixing bugs, showcasing your work and planning;
• develop, document, communicate and maintain technology standards.

Qualifications: What you bring:

Python 3.8+;

• AWS - especially Lambda, AppSync, API Gateway, EventBridge, CloudFront;
• AWS SAM framework;
• Python testing tools - pytest, flake8;
• Data modelling;
• Building APIs with GraphQL;
• Comfortable with modern frontend web development, including Vue.js;
• Docker;
• Git best practices - rebase, squash, bisect;
• Kanban delivery - we enjoy working with lean methods;
• Excellent asynchronous collaboration and communication.
